Wana Udobang is a Nigeria-based journalist and filmmaker who works at the intersection of women’s rights, social justice, personal narratives, culture and the arts. She has worked with BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service and Nigeria's Inspiration FM 92.3. Her work has appeared on Al Jazeera, the Guardian (U.K.), the Guardian (Nigeria), Index on Censorship and Brittle Paper. She is a recipient of the International Reporting Project (IRP) International Journalism Fellowship and the Gabriel García Márquez Fellowship in Cultural Journalism. Udobang is producer and director of documentaries on psoriasis and grief and the docu-series "Warriors," which explores the lives of people with sickle cell disease. She created the YouTube interview series "Culture Diaries" and presents the television program "Airtel Touching Lives."
