NULI JUICE / AGROLAY VENTURES
Award-Winning Food Entrepreneur & Investor
Lagos
I'm an award-winning food entrepreneur, investor and passionate agribusiness advocate for Africa. As the Chief Executive of Agrolay Ventures, an investment firm that seeks early-stage companies, I seek to redefine the food production and retail opportunity across Africa's large consumer markets through my endeavours. Agrolay incubates food start-ups, one of which is The Nuli Juice Company, the fastest-growing fresh beverage manufacturer and farm-to-table restaurant chain in Nigeria. I have a proven successful track record as a private equity professional and a global development expert, as well as a demonstrated ability to identify and build businesses in Africa from concept to profitable entities.

Prior to my entrepreneurship journey, I worked in Nigeria’s public sector as the Senior Investment Adviser to Dr. Adesina, Nigeria’s former Minister of Agriculture, leading private sector investment initiatives, including the development of the Fund for Agricultural Financing in Nigeria (FAFIN), an innovative private equity fund that invests in Nigeria’s agribusiness SMEs. I was a Vice President at Kuramo Capital Management, a private equity firm in New-York and years before this, was a Senior Investment Officer at the African Development Bank (AfDB), leading capital market and infrastructure financing transactions across Africa. I started my career as an investment banker with BNP Paribas, London.

I volunteer my time as a Board member of The One Acre Fund, a global non-profit that serves over 450,000 farming families in Africa. I am a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and a Fellow of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Program. I also serve on the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Presidential Youth Advisory Group (PYAG) to help accelerate the AfDB’s Jobs For Africa’s Youth initiative.

I received my MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, hold an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick, U.K. and a BSc in Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Hull, U.K.
