Managing Director
Modupe (Mo) Adefeso-Olateju is Managing Director of The Education Partnership Centre (TEP Centre) and a policy expert specialising in public-private partnerships in education. She leads workstreams on a range of education sector support initiatives funded or assisted by international donors and corporate funders, and trains public sector officials and development organisations on strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation. She is leading the implementation of LEARNigeria; Nigeria’s citizen-led household assessment and advocacy programme which is assessing the foundational literacy and numeracy competencies of 5-15 year olds in Nigeria and supporting policy advocacy and the implementation of remedial programmes for communities. Mo also leads the team which plans and hosts the annual Education Innovation Summit (NEDIS) which is now in its 3rd year.

Mo was a member of the technical team assembled by the Honourable Minister of Education (Nigeria) and in that capacity, wrote a section of the Federal Ministry of Education’s Strategic Plan for Education (2011-2015). She currently serves on the advisory committees of the Brookings Institution Center for Universal Education (CUE) Millions Learning 2.0 programme and the DfID-EDOREN programme. She previously worked with DfID’s ESSPIN Programme, Accenture and Junior Achievement, and serves as a trustee of three nonprofits.

As a Centenary Scholar (Africa), Mo received a PhD. in Education and International Development from the Institute of Education (IOE), University of London, and a Masters with Distinction from the same institution.
