We have a passion to drive education through music and edutainment with our brands. Viacom International Media Networks Africa through its brand diversity and pop culture works to equally drive the proponent of education. Across the youth spectrum we are focused on developing an increase in local talent and education while creating a love for music, culture, creativity and authenticity.

Join us for Inspired for Future Generations a panel of enlightening discussions on How Music & Edutainment Can Unlock Africa’s Potential.

Panelist will explore:
  • How the digital era can empower the youth to learn. VIMN Africa speaker Bada Akintunde Johnson will share examples  of how we have achieved this from Nickelodeon and MTV SHUGA.
  • Shifting the stereotypes of the African continent to how we are creating opportunities. Statistics on continent and education/technology. 50% of total population growth between 2017 – 2050 is expected to come from Africa. This population is very young with 41% under the age of 15. Music and edutainment offer an important platform for social engagement.
  • Impact of technology: Almost a billion mobile phones in operation in Africa currently. Media plays an active role in edutainment, filling the gap of education.
