Driven by fashion weeks and an explosion of consistent marketing, communication and pr efforts, Africa's fashion retail sector is growing. An emerging number of platforms and outlets are catering for and to African brands and designers to promote and distribute their products to a mass or niche market. Not to mention the abundant assortment of international brands and designers available to the African consumer. 


New trends in fashion retail are developing, with increasing numbers of local and international multi-brand boutiques and e-commerce platforms. According to McKinsey, Africans could be buying $75 billion worth of goods and services online by 2025. In Nigeria, the continent's largest consumer market, revenue has doubled each year since 2010. The country has the largest online apparel market in Africa, and is expected to grow from an estimated $104m in 2014 to nearly $1.1bn in 2019 according to research by Euromonitor International.
