CodeLagos is bringing the Public and Private Sectors CLOSER as collaborators to attain our mutual goal of equipping a workforce competent to meet current technology demands in Lagos State, and even across the globe!

It's been said that the role of education is to prepare a society for the quantity and quality of manpower required for the prevailing needs. As Lagos advances into a tech-driven future, the State has over the past two years, been deliberate about innovative Education initiatives with the FUTURE in view.

CodeLagos is an initiative of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, aimed at preparing the workforce of the future by teaching coding skills to 1 million Lagos residents.

After a successful pilot in May 2017, the first CodeLagos “in-school” cohort commenced classes in September 2017; this was followed shortly by the kick-off of the “out-of-school” cohort in November 2017.

Now approaching the 20,000 mark for number of participants, we invite you to reflect with us on lessons learned and the successes achieved through strategic private sector partnerships.
Join the Special Adviser on Education to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, and top executives from partner organizations - PricewaterhouseCoopers, SystemSpecs, ARM, 9Mobile and Oracle - for an engaging panel discussion on the topic: A PPP Model That Works: The CodeLagos Case StudyThe session will be moderated by Education Development Expert and PPP Advocate, Mo Adefeso-Olateju.

  • Find out about upcoming initiatives and opportunities for small business owners in the education and technical/vocational training spaces, who may wish to collaborate with Lagos State to move Education forward.
