Female African Powerhouses Who Have Leveraged Social Media To Build Globally Recognised Brands delves into the minds of female powerhouses who have shattered the status quo. Our featured panelist are creating a different narrative of how the world views Black & African women. With themes such as Black skin is beautiful, kinky hair is amazing, black women can lead tech, black people travel, etc. Black woman are leading brands that are recognised globally.


This panel represents #BlackGirlMagic at its finest! Panel members will:
  • Give a history of their brands & how they began
  • Talk about their initial vision
  • Talk about how they were able to use social media to put this vision across
  • Talk about obstacles faced, or where they were pleasantly surprised at how quickly their ideas were adopted, while challenging the norm to bring their African brands to western markets
  • Talk about how they were able to get noticed on a global platform
  • Advise on how their success can be emulated
  • Talk about how they continue to use social media and how they envisage their social media use will evolve over time
